This Privacy Policy describes how LinkedIn AI Agent (the "Extension") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Data We Collect

• Email address — collected when you create an account or log in, used solely for authentication.
• Authentication token — a JWT token stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.sync) to keep you logged in. Your password is never stored locally.
• LinkedIn profile content — text from your LinkedIn profile page (name, headline, experience, education, skills) is collected only when you explicitly click "Scrape Profile". This data is sent to our AI backend to generate content suggestions and is not stored beyond the duration of your request.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect browsing history, mouse movements, keystrokes, or any passive activity.
• We do not collect payment or financial information.
• We do not collect health or location data.
• We do not read any page other than linkedin.com.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Your email is used to authenticate you and associate your usage with your account.
• Your LinkedIn profile content is used exclusively to generate AI-powered post and profile suggestions. It is processed by our Azure-hosted API and is not stored, sold, or shared with third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to any third party. Profile content is sent to Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service solely to generate AI responses and is subject to Microsoft Azure's privacy terms.

5. Data Retention

Account information (email, hashed credentials) is stored in our database as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens expire after 24 hours.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below.
